My thoughts often wandered back to the treasured moments of a South Korea adventure with my dear friend Diana. It was March, and Seoul had draped itself in the soft, delicate hues of cherry blossoms, creating a vivid tapestry of colour. Amongst these cherished memories, our Korean hanbok photoshoot stood out prominently.

Dressed in traditional hanboks, Diana and I ventured into the historic streets of Bukchon and the grandeur of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The experience had been more than just a photoshoot; it encapsulated the very essence of Korea — its beauty, rich culture, and history.

Now, fast forward to October, as I release my latest hanbok-inspired design, I couldn't think of a more fitting way to unveil it than by inviting my fellow traveller, Diana, to join me in modelling the dress, at Chijmes. This precinct, with its neoclassical charm, was the perfect setting.

As the day of the photoshoot unfolded, memories of the glaring noon sun, countless poses, and the joy of wearing those stunning hanboks in Korea came rushing back. It was a reminder of the experiences we had shared during our travels and the enduring beauty of our friendship.

My hope is that this hanbok dress might bring a similar sense of wonder to you as it does to us, serving as a vessel for your unique moments waiting to be created.
